Narrative

Hannah was the oldest child of Edward and Sabrina Hobson. In the 1901 census she is blind.
Hannah's first husband was William Jackson, who was born in Crumpsall, but his family moved away before Hannah was born. In 1841, William (aged 2) and his family were living in Waterloo Street, where Hannah's mother-to-be Sabrina Whalley (aged 16) was also living. William's family were living in Blackley when he met Hannah. Presumably they met via their families and/or church in Crumpsall, where their first two children were baptised. Hannah and William's first two children were named: Thomas Edward, after her grandfather and father; and Sabrina, after her mother. They were both baptised on the same day as Hannah's youngest sister Lucy Sabrina aged 4, who was baptised immediately after them. Sadly, they both died young, but Hannah and William had more children.
