Narrative

Hannah was born and married in Ancoats.
First two children were baptised in Ancoats. They would both live to be adults and get married.
Third child born in Stockport but no baptism found. James died aged 5, shortly after fourth child was born.
All subsequent births were in Failsworth. No baptisms found for first 5. Last 3 all baptised All Saints, Newton Heath.
Two youngest children died a week apart, aged 3 and 18 months.
In 1901 census, 5 years later, Hannah and her husband have separated. They are both in their mid forties. James stayed in Manchester but Hannah moves to Chorley with her four youngest children. She has moved 30 miles and is not near any known relatives. A brave thing to do back then. Perhaps she moved because she didn't want to be found by James?
In 1911, still in Chorley, her widowed and eldest son Amos is living with her. There is also a granddaughter living with her, but Amos was only 16 when she was born, and her Hannah's eldest daughter was only 14, so it seems unlikely that either of them was the parent.
