Narrative
David and his siblings were all born in Stockport. His parents and their 6 children moved to Ancoats when David was about 20. Shortly after this, David married Mary Jane Campion, the daughter of a policeman.
After his marriage to Mary, she moved in with David and his parents in Kirkham Street, where they live for about 5 years. Their first two daughters were born during this time. The first is named Isabella after David's mother, and the second is named Ann Jane after Mary Jane's mother, repeating the tradition started by David's parents. They also follow David's parents example by naming their first son after his father. All their children were baptised as Bramhall, but subsequently used the name Brammall in their marriages and census records.
They moved to their house in Clayton Street, where they lived for more than 25 years, until Mary's death. David moved to the Spinners Arms, a beer-house in Newton Heath where he worked. He died aged 67 in Cardigan Street, Bradford.
David and his wife were buried in Philips Park Cemetery in separate graves, but relatively near each other. The gravestone for Mary is still there.
