Earp, Thomas
Narrative
Thomas worked in his parents boot and shoe shops, on Oldham Street, and in Salford, until opening his own shop on Cheetham Hill Road when he was about 30. Thomas never married and he was 34 when his his mother died insolvent, which meant the end of the two shops. Thomas's siblings had all died. John and Jane in Lunatic Asylums, and Emma in Scarborough, aged 28, possibly convalescing and taking the sea air. Thomas died 7 months after his mother.
