Narrative
Beatrix (Bessie) was her parents eldest child. After her brother was born her parents had no children for 8 years (1714 to 1720). Her future husband's parents also had no children for the same 8 year period, then later these two children would marry. What could have been the reason for this? There are no "gaps" in other families. Married as Beatrix but only used this name at 2 of her childrens baptisms. For the other 6 baptisms she used Bessie, including the baptism of Jean, which was witnessed by her father.
