Narrative

Ann Heath was born in Stafford, the daughter of William Heath and Ann Evans. Ann died young and William married Elizabeth Lawton, Sarah Lawton's sister. Ann would have met her cousins Thomas Earp and Sarah Lawton in Stafford, and Ann was 35 when they left for Manchester in 1845.
1841 Not found Ann (or her 2 brothers) in Manchester or Stafford. Mary Aspinall was living in Back Bilberry Street Angel Meadow.
1851 Ann 40 living at 6 Back Bilberry Street Angel Meadow with widower Mary Aspinall 65 a Cotton Trader from Lancashire. Ann is working as a Boot Binder, probably for the Earp family in Oldham Street.

Sarah Jane Earp was 3 and living with her grandmother on Oldham Street, with her father John and her uncle Thomas. Father John is also listed as living with his wife and their baby Thomas, near Hyde Road. It is more likely John was living with his mother, given what happens next.

1877 in May Sarah's mother remarries in Stafford aged 33 (banns were in Feb). Sarah 10 is probably living in Oldham Street with her grandmother.

Sarah has no living relatives in Manchester.
