Rebecca was born in Jersey. In the 1841 census there is a Mary Kelly living with Rebecca and her family. Mary Kelly was also born in Jersey. Perhaps she was Rebecca's unmarried sister?
Rebecca was pregnant with her youngest child when her husband died aged 28. Seven years later, Rebecca is a 33 year old widowed pauper, working as a fish dealer, with children Jane 14, William 13, Mary Ann 11, Elizabeth 8, and Thomas 6. Rebecca died in 1859 when she was 41. Her youngest child was 15, but they are not living together in the 1861 census.
