Narrative

Thomas was a mechanic and a machine maker, so he was highly skilled and relatively highly paid.
Born in Lancashire, Thomas married Sabrina in Stockport, when he was a 35 year old widow and Sabrina was 22.
Not found his previous wife, and any children would be at least 26 by the 1841 census, so they were not living at home.
Thomas and Sabrina moved from Chorlton Upon Medlock to Crumpsall between 1834 and 1841.
2 Jackson Street was recorded as Waterloo Street because it was on the corner. The rate book was in Thomas's name from 1841 to 1847, and Sabrina's name from September 1851 to 1862, when she dies. Thomas probably died between March 1851 census when Sabrina is recorded as married and September 1851 when her name appears on the rates.
