Notes for Henry ROWLAND

Henry served for the army in France and received the British War Medal for
being posted overseas and The Vistory Medal for entering a theatre of war.
He had a gold pocket watch which he brought back from France. It was
manufactured in Germany by Drusus (number 240174).
He worked as a Turner for Smiths of Trafford Park.

Birth Notes

Born at 4.55pm. The time was recorded because he had a twin brother. Henry was
probably born first as he is given his father's name. A Court was an internal
courtyard at the back of the houses that faced onto the street.
